What is LLLT Technology?
Therapy using Cold Laser technology (LLLT: Low Level Laser Therapy), or low-power laser, is increasingly used and is even beginning to be introduced in hospitals to treat side effects on tissues caused by cancer treatments.
Depending on the emitted wavelength, the beam penetrates more or less deeply, enabling different actions on living tissue. Its main properties are:
- Anti-inflammatory and Analgesic
- Stimulation of wound healing (skin and mucosa)
- Reduction of edema
- Stimulation of specific tissue production
- Distant action by stimulating acupuncture points
Direct Observed Actions on Tissues
Low-intensity laser irradiation triggers profound biological changes:
- Angiogenesis: Increase in oxygenated blood flow to accelerate healing.
- Collagen production: Improves elasticity and reduces internal scarring.
- Muscle regeneration: Activation of myogenic satellite cells.
- Nerve regeneration: Promotes neuronal sprouting and myelin formation.
- Bone and cartilage formation: Proliferation of osteocytes and chondrocytes.
- Lymphatic system: Increased permeability allowing spinal discs to regain volume.
Possible Fields of Application
The versatility of the cold laser allows for intervention across numerous conditions:
- Radiodermatitis, Lymphedema, and Mucositis induced by radio-chemotherapy.
- Various types of pain, Arthritis, Herniated disc, and Cervical spondylosis.
- Muscle tears, Sprains, and Ligament issues.
- Xerostomia, Trismus, and Medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (BRONJ).
- Trigeminal neuralgia, Hypertension, and Prostatitis.
- Acupuncture: Application on distal points as an alternative to traditional needles.
Technical Specifications and Efficiency
The wavelengths used range between 650 nm and 850 nm with a power output not exceeding 500 mW (maximum 2J / cm²).
Depth of Action: Unlike super LEDs that only reach the surface, the 650 nm laser acts deep into the muscle core. Wavelengths like 850 nm penetrate even deeper to reach the bone. Our LF1 and LF2 models simultaneously include two wavelengths for optimal efficiency.
Laboratory tests demonstrate the absence of side effects, even on healthy tissues. It is a safe therapy that delivers consistent benefits.
Precautions and Contraindications
Eye Protection: Eyes must imperatively be protected. Never look directly into the laser beam as it presents a risk of damaging the retina.
Classic contraindications apply based on the principle of prevention:
- Pregnant women.
- Individuals with hemorrhagic disorders (due to the increase in blood oxygenation).
Our Selection of Cold Lasers
We offer three solutions tailored to every need:
- LF1: For manual and targeted application.
- LF2: To cover larger surface areas (fastening straps included).
- LF3: For personal use, acting via the blood system to treat a wide array of conditions.
All our models operate autonomously on rechargeable batteries and offer exceptional value for money.
